An artistic eye, paired with
surgical precision
Jesse E. Smith, MD, FACS, was born in Fort Worth, Texas, moving with his parents to Joshua at the age of three. He was reared on a small farm there, where he completed high school before heading to Baylor University in Waco for his undergraduate degree in Biology.
Dr. Smith is an Assistant Fellowship Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Fort Worth. His private practice encompasses the entire spectrum of facial rejuvenation and reconstruction - from minimally invasive treatments to the most complex surgery - including rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, facelift, browlift, hair transplant, fat transfer, facial augmentation, wrinkle treatment, corrective surgery for facial defects, ear reshaping, microsurgery, reconstruction of cancer patients and post-traumatic deformities. He is also an expert in non-surgical facial treatments, including injectables and laser resurfacing.
He received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University and began his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he earned his MD. Dr. Smith completed his internship in general surgery followed by a residency and specialization in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern, including Parkland Hospital System. He was then chosen for a highly specialized Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery sponsored by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Smith is Board Certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and is one of a small group of surgeons who has achieved Dual Board Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as Head and Neck Surgery. He joined Texas Health Care in 2005 and became an Assistant Clinical Professor at UT Southwestern in Dallas, and the Assistant Fellowship Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery soon thereafter. He is one of the busiest facial plastic surgeons in North Texas, and the Assistant Director of the only fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Dr. Smith regularly lectures on a wide variety of topics in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery each year, both within the United States and internationally.

Twice a year,
Nicaragua
Dr. Smith is proudly involved in several humanitarian organizations. Twice a year he travels with the CRISP Foundation and Futuro de Nicaragua to run a week-long clinic and operating room - transforming the lives of children and adults alike, and training Nicaraguan surgeons so the country can care for its own people.
The CRISP Foundation and Futuro de Nicaragua have performed over 1,400 surgeries - barely scratching the surface of the tens of thousands who need assistance. All surgeries and medical care are provided free of charge.
